DAUGHTERS OF UTAH PIONEERS

The objective of this organization is to perpetuate the names and achievements of the men, women, and children who were pioneers in founding the commonwealth: by preserving old landmarks, marking historical places, collecting artifacts and histories of Utah Pioneers; by commerating their entrance into the Valley of the Great Salt Lake on July 24, 1847.
In our monthly meetings, we review the lives of the pioneers. Thus teaching their descendants and the citizens of our country lessons of faith, courage, fortitude and patriotism.
Any woman shall be eligible for membership in this association who is over the age of eighteen, of good character, and in lineal or a legally adopted descendant of an ancestor who came to Utah before the completion of the railroad on May 10, 1869. Applications may be obtained by calling Gwyn Harmer at (801)465-2469 or Dawn Warenski at (801)754-3250.
Our monthly meetings will resume again in August.
